Fabio Rossello is an Italian entrepreneur and business leader, serving as Chief Executive Officer of Paglieri S.p.A. and Selectiva S.p.A. His career brings together industrial leadership, industry association roles, service through Rotary International and a lifelong involvement in the art of magic, underpinned by a sustained interest in leadership, innovation and human perception.

Born in Alessandria on 27 October 1961, he graduated in Electronic Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin, completing his education with an MBA and postgraduate studies in Marketing Management with Philip Kotler. His technical and business education provides the foundation for an approach that combines analytical thinking, creativity and strategic vision.

He joined Paglieri in 1988 as Product Manager, subsequently becoming General Manager and, in 2003, Chief Executive Officer. Throughout his career, he has also held CEO positions at Selectiva, Agopag and Schiapparelli. His experience encompasses brand development, commercial and industrial strategy, international expansion and change management within a historic Italian business operating in personal and home care.

Alongside his corporate responsibilities, he has played a significant role in representing the Italian cosmetics industry. He served as President of Cosmetica Italia from 2011 to 2018 and as President of Cosmetica Italia Servizi. He is currently Vice President of Cosmetica Italia and a member of Federchimica’s General Council. He is also a member of the European Academy for Economic and Cultural Relations, AEREC. He served on the Scientific Advisory Committee for the Master’s programme in Corporate Finance and Banking at SAA – School of Management, University of Turin, and was a member of the Aspen Institute.

Service through Rotary International is a central part of his life. A member of the Rotary Club of Valenza since 1999, he served as Governor of District 2032 in 2013–2014 and chaired the Rotary Institute in Rome in 2023. He currently chairs District 2032’s Leadership and Excellence Committee. A Benefactor and Major Donor of The Rotary Foundation and a Paul Harris Fellow, he has devoted particular attention to youth development, international exchanges and the promotion of leadership grounded in ethics and service.

His passion for magic began in childhood and developed alongside his studies and professional career. He joined the Club Magico Italiano in 1976, published his first contributions to Magia Moderna magazine in 1977 and worked professionally as an illusionist and entertainer for more than ten years. He is Managing Director of ITA TEAM, the Italian National Magic Team, and Vice President of the Circolo Amici della Magia in Turin. A qualified FISM judge, he judged the Street Magic category at the 2025 World Championships of Magic in Turin. For the same event, he coordinated the Italian team’s preparation, helping it achieve eight awards, including the Grand Prix won by Francesco della Bona.

FISM appointed him Supervisor of its UNESCO Project Consultancy Group, with responsibility for coordinating national and regional contributions to the initiative seeking recognition of the art of magic within UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage framework. His commitment to preserving the history of magic also led him to acquire Silvan’s magic library, which he now safeguards.

He is the author of Leadership e Consapevolezza (Leadership and Awareness), published in 2013, and has contributed to publications on communication, young people and leadership. He has delivered lectures and shared his professional experience in university settings, and speaks on ethics, responsibility, innovation and the relationship between science and the humanities. His more recent interests include artificial intelligence and its organisational, social and cultural implications, alongside the study of perception and awareness.

His honours include the City of Alessandria’s Gagliaudo d’Oro, awarded in 2011 for his contribution to industry, and the provincial Oscar del Successo award for the cosmetics industry, received in 2016.

Beyond his professional life, his interests include sailing and boating, aviation, scuba diving and photography. A private pilot holding EASA and FAA licences and a former Vice President of the Aero Club of Alessandria, he has worked as a Ground Instructor and an aviation English examiner. He is also a PADI scuba diving instructor and holds an unrestricted Italian boating licence for both sailing and motor vessels. These varied pursuits share a common thread: curiosity, discipline and a commitment to lifelong learning.
